She studied Landscape Design and Horticulture at Purdue University and with over 20 years of experience as a grower and propagator she now shares her expertise on food gardening “in plain sight.” She has authored two influential books The Foodscape Revolution and Gardening with Grains. She also contributed to the Emmy-winning PBS program Growing a Greener World. Brie serves as an ambassador for Soil3 organic compost, championing eco-friendly practices. She has a widely followed YouTube channel Brie the Plant Lady where she shares expert advice and creative ideas. The American Horticultural Society bestowed upon Brie the inaugural Emerging Horticultural Professional Award, a testament to her transformative impact on cultivating a new generation’s love for gardening.
